Google Doodle Art Assignment Due Dates

Here are the due dates for "The Google Doodle" assignments.

They will be due at the end of the class, and students must hand in the rough copy with the good copy.
Both must have the student's first and last name on it and teacher's name.

Mme Scott: Monday January 16 Day 1

Mr. Mitkovski: Thursday January 19 Day 4

Mlle Addylaj: Monday January 23 Day 5 (Friday is a P.A. Day)

The Group of Seven Plasticine Relief art pieces are due soon.

Here are the due dates per class:



December 14: Mlle. Jang-Naruse's grade7/8

December 15: Ms. Brown's grade 7

December 16: Mr. Crimmins' grade 7/8

December 19: Ms. Jeffery's grade 8



What they must hand in:

·         Hand in original (Rough Copy) labeled (background, middle ground, foreground, and focal point) sketch

·         Plasticine Relief copy

Grade 7/8 Group of Seven art piece continues!

Grade 7/8 Group of Seven

The Grade 7/8 students are learning about the Group of Seven, and their very Canadian style of painting. We looked at some slideshows of the Group of Seven and talked about their artwork and the impact their artwork had on the Canadian art world.
Students had to choose and bring in a picture from the Group of Seven, and they have to re-create the scene using Plasticine.

The Grade 3 Students are learning about Vincent Van Gogh.  We learned about how he loved using bright colours, and he usually put his paint on very thick, making his images have a feeling of movement.

The Grade 3 students were introduced to Van Gogh's famous Sunflower painting.

They then started drawing sunflowers like Van Gogh!











"Starry Night" Inspired by Van Gogh

The Grade 4/5 Students are working on re-creating "Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh.
